A well equipped pattern shop is manned by highly trained pattern makers who have produced over   5000 different patterns in the last four decades

Melting and Casting Shop
Melting and casting are the core activities of SCEW. The total installed capacity of three induction furnace is over two tones. The shop also consists of several mechanized molding machine and other machinery in addition to an overhead crane. Under the supervision of engineering and technical staff, all steps from charging of raw material to castings are monitored very closely to produce castings free of any external and internal defects to the satisfaction of our customers

Heat Treatment Furnaces
To produce appropriate micro-structures and related set of mechanical properties in the cast-parts, a close control over heat-treatment operation is critical. The heat-treatment shop at SCEW has two gas/oil fired heat-treatment furnaces equipped with temperature-control devices. Other allied facilities for examples quenching tanks are also available. A team of well-trained staff is employed to perform heat-treatment in most appropriate manner to give the optimum results.

Die Casting Machines
Heavy-duty Die-Casting Machines installed at SCEW are ideally suited to die cast Aluminum based alloys, weighing up to 2.0 kilograms. Manned by a team of skilled human resource, these machines can produce defect-free high quality die-cast parts as per required specifications.

Machine Shop
The machine shop is equipped with lathe machines, milling machines, mechanical presses, surface grinders and other tools. An MoU has been signed with Bahawalpur Engineering Works for the provision of sophisticated machining facilities

Quality Control Laboratories
Production of prime quality castings is our hall-mark. SCEW has earned its enviable reputation by adhering to the quality standards specified by our valued customers. We, in fact, strive to do a better job exceeding the standards defined by our customers for their benefits and to maintain an edge over our competitors. 

The quality control section comprises of the following laboratories.

     - Sand Testing Lab.              - Metallographic Lab.
     - Chemical Analysis Lab.      - Mechanical Testing Lab. 

These laboratories are equipped with essential equipments and are operated by qualified staff.  Each casting is thoroughly inspected for dimensional accuracy and soundness before its delivery.
